Please note that this will be a French-speaking event.

We have given Cécile carte blanche with her “L’eau du ciel #2” exhibition, to be held as part of the festival programme, and the artists she has chosen to invite along bring a whole new dimension to the research carried out on the boat, highlighting three key factors that featured heavily in her research, namely colour, landscape and abstraction.

The 2 children’s workshops facilitated by Cécile Barraud de Lagerie will focus on colour illusion, giving children the opportunity to discover and draw inspiration from the concepts brought to light by the artists belonging to the Op-Art movement and encouraging them to challenge experimentation with colour perception.

Children will get to make their own spinning-tops and other thaumatropes (what a great word!) as they learn how to use movement to combine colours, really bring them to life and even to create new ones.
