Please note that this will be a French-speaking event.

Committed blogger and author Laura Nsafou has been straddling the fields of traditional and digital publishing, communication and management for a number of years now.
Laura made a name for herself under the pseudonym Mrs Roots – the name of the blog she created in 2013 in an attempt to find a platform that would allow her to tackle the issues of afrofeminism, Afropean literature and the visibility of African and Afrodescendant literature.

She has also written a number of books, including “Comme un million de Papillons Noirs” (“Like a Million Black Butterflies”). Following an afternoon in the company of her young readers at Livre aux Trésors, Laura will be joining us at Barricade to talk about her activist work.

Accompanied by Liège-born afrofeminist activist Selemani G. Djemba, we will be looking at her background, her commitment and the issue of the representation of diversity in literature.
