This year, we’re particularly interested in the pioneers, the groundbreakers, the DIYers in the field of music, digital arts, and activism. And we’ll need an entire day for this, of course!
‘Pioneers’ will highlight artists or activists who take digital tools and give them a second poetic or political life.
There couldn’t be a more interactive agenda for this day: do-It-yourself workshops on e-textiles, cutting-edge instruments (and the women who’ve invented or mastered them) in electronic music, a feminist collaborative editing workshop on Wikipedia, an introduction to DJing, a discussion about the pioneers and to close out this prolific day: a performance at the outer limits of music and cinema.
In brief, it will be a Sunday full of discoveries and group experiments, just how we like it!

And it’s all donation based!

At 11:00 am,

Special-edition creation by Christina Vantzou

An American artist, composer, and director of Greek origin, Christina Vantzou is a musical phenomenon on the Belgian scene. For ‘Pioneers’, we’ve given her carte blanche. So far, she’s hinted at her brand-new purchase, a modular synthesizer, and a 16-mm projector. The rest… We’ll find out together!

And all throughout the day, check out Claire William’s exhibit, where participants’ curious objects created during the workshop will be displayed at the end of the day, and selected films about pioneers will be shown all day long.
