Saturday, October 19

Please note that this will be a French-speaking event.

We have given Line Guellati carte blanche to contribute to the festival programme as part of her Curieuse Résidence 2019. The two-day programme will provide an opportunity to challenge and deconstruct our perceptions of mental illnesses and those suffering with them.

Justice Sociale workshop

This workshop, facilitated by l’Autre lieu, looks at the representation of care (therapy, hospitalisation, medical treatment, etc.) and those who care for others (therapists, doctors, experts, etc.), incorporating the concept of action research into the potential to view care from a broader, more human, more ecological perspective.

Practical information
Open to all over 16 years of age, regardless of whether or not they have a psychiatric history.
Group 1: 10am to 11:30am
Group 2: 1pm to 2:30pm
Registration essential

Les Cerveaunautes workshop

A fun workshop organised by the team behind “Dessine-moi un mutant” (provisional title) with the aim of examining what is normal and abnormal, the rational and irrational parts of our brains and our unique bodies. We can use various types of language to express our identities and our perceptions of the world (verbal, non-verbal, etc.), and this workshop is designed to help us explore them together and look at the issue of ‘neurodiversity’ from a less academic, more creative perspective, providing a platform for sharing and interacting based on movement, colour and disorder.

Practical information
Open to all over 16 years of age.
Group 1: 10am to 11:30am
Group 2: 1pm to 2:30pm
Registration essential

Le Cabinet des Curiosités workshop

A walk-through space set up by the team behind the production and offering an insight into current research via a number of so-called ‘sensory’ (audio, exhibition, writing, etc.) spaces.
