Collectif Manchedi (Bal Spécial)

Founded in 2015, Bal Spécial is a Liège-based Centre for Expression and Creativity. The team holds space for the body, emotions, and the mind to be explored through movement—from the age of four, for as long as possible!

One of Bal Spécial’s goals is to foster autonomy in the young people they work with: when they turn sixteen, the Centre’s dancers are invited to create their own creative project—accompanied by the Centre’s choreographers, their artistic and social adventure lasts for two years!

Following Pépouze in 2020 and Yliti in 2022, it is now turn for the Manchedi collective to shine.

With their project Being Sixteen in 2025, they share their own vision of society through three dance pieces that express their questions, their demands, and, above all, their collective desires.

The festival presents this contemporary dance piece facilitated by Anne-Lore Baeckeland and co-created by Nour Capet, Suzanne Gérard, Anna Kristanto, Lou Ninane, Lola Pastor, Luna Sadien, Pomone Sohet, and Raphaëlle Zondeman.
