Actress, host and director Laura Persain trained at the Conservatory of Liege and debuted alongside Mathias Simons, Jacques Delcuvellerie and Pietro Varrasso. Winner of the best actress award at the Prix de la Critique for Neil Labute’s Bash 2007, she has acted in numerous short and feature-length films with the Dardenne brothers, Alicia Duffy, Fabrice Duwelz and Martha Bergman. A leader of socio-artistic projects and host for asbl Voix de Femmes since 2012, she regularly puts herself at the service of young or less young collective creations as a playwright and director and takes part in a number of research structures (Gurgum asbl, Projet Adakia). Alongside Catherine Wilkin, she founded the Paulette Godart company in 2014: they became our Curious Resident in 2017 with the project Pépi and two years later brought the project Où est Alice? project to the Liege Theatre. In 2021, Lara Persain presented the collective creation Des roses et du pain et des roses resulting from continuing education workshops conducted in partnership with Voix De Femmes.
