Monstera Occulta

Immersed in the enchanting world of Arabic music for a decade, Monstera Occulta transcends musical boundaries with a deep passion. Born to a Belgian mother and a Moroccan father, she weaves her musical journey with the threads of timeless legends like Nass El Ghiwane and Oum Kalthoum, establishing a deep-rooted bond with the musical traditions of the Arab world.

Her musical universe is expansive: with a passion for vinyl she explores the depths of global sounds from all eras, adding an eclectic dimension to her collection. Each vinyl becomes a precious piece, a sonic treasure that transcends genres and eras.

Every Sunday, Monstera Occulta shares her passion on the waves of her radio show (BRUZZ). It's a space where listeners can lose themselves in a fascinating musical journey, discovering sounds from all over the world, across all genres. She also opens her studio doors to special guests, DJs, and selectas, making it a priority to hold a space for expression to people of colour, and gender diverse people and women. This collaborative dimension offers cultural and musical diversity and creates an inclusive platform where everyone's voices and stories can be celebrated.
