Opening of Hostilities. Theatrical Contribution to the Destruction of the Capitalist System
The world is unwell, everyone knows it.
So why is it so difficult to imagine "something else"?
What would this "something else" look like?
How can we achieve this "something else"?
A group of actors dedicates an hour to respond to these three questions.
"Humanity is heading for disaster." Voicing this is repeating what everyone knows.
Faced with what appears to be a fact, I sometimes feel the serious desire to change the world.
But now I'm getting dizzy: the task seems too complex, too difficult. I don't know where to begin, nor what I would like to build instead, nor with whom, nor even what it means to want to change the world from Europe...
All this is too complicated, too abstract. My anger is turning into helplessness.
Catastrophe has won.
To open hostilities is to not admit defeat. Based on a survey of thinkers and activists, a small group of actors explore on stage a series of feasible and radical utopias, on a large scale, to muscle up our imaginations to think of concrete alternatives to the capitalist system.
