Angélique Clairand & Géraldine Berger

Trained at the Comédie de Saint-Étienne School of dramatic arts in France, Angélique Clairand participates in the École des maîtres, a travelling international training program that brings together young European artists. A co-founder, alongside Eric Massé, of the Lumas Company, she has created and worked on numerous plays as a director, author and actress. Current events are at the heart of her work, with a deep desire for accessibility - her shows are bilingual, in spoken French and French Sign Language. A member of the first artistic collective of the Comédie de Valence theatre, in January 2019 she was appointed co-director of the Théâtre du Point du Jour alongside Eric Massé. 

Géraldine Berger trained in physical theatre and corporal mime with Claire Heggen and Yves Marc of the Théâtre du Mouvement in Paris, as well as in butoh dance. She explores the body’s experiences in all their creativity through the theatricality of movement and of strangeness. She has been running theatre dance workshops for around 20 years and works at the crossroads of different types of language. A French Sign Language activist and communicator, she mixes her practice with theatre and collaborates with various collectives and projects, such as KompleX KapharnaüM, the Comédie de Valence theatre, les Trois Huit, l’Essoreuse..
