B. Carrot

Originally from Jerusalem and now based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, B. Carrot is a comic book author. Trained at the Sint Lukas school in Brussels, her work focuses on human experiences, their links to their environment and the resulting complexity. She explores political themes such as immigration, feminism, the struggle of the Palestinians and the food industry. The graphic novel Alle dagen ui, her final project, was published in 2020 by Soul Food Comics. It tells the true story of Saied, an Egyptian asylum seeker, and paints a critical picture of Dutch migration policy.
