Fléchir le vide en avant is a collective from Besançon, whose name literally translates as “Bend the Void Forward” (by twisting to the side!). The collective gathers a dozen artists standing on a good expanding foam mat confidently filled with eco-feminist and inclusive values.

The members of Fléchir le vide wish to reflect, share, and experiment with collaborative ways of working to explore different patterns of work than the traditional ‘director at the centre’ or ‘solo visual artist’ model.

Their stage writings are in constant movement, set up in public squares, the basements of art venues, or on theatre stages.

The collective develops a voracious taste for imaginary mythologies, sound creations, and contemporary puppetry; they have a certain attraction for parties, animal documentaries, cardboard sci-fi, and car tuning.

With both feet firmly grounded, holding a mould in one hand and poetry in the other, Fléchir le vide fully acknowledges and embraces its position outside any distinct or defined aesthetic category.
