Adapted from the collection Mater Dolorosa (L’Arbre de Diane, 2024), Auguri! C’est une fille ! / Auguri ! It's a girl ! is a poetic and musical show featuring the voice of Mel Moya and the cello of Céline Chappuis.

Through the story of a mother confronted with the ghosts of her past during lockdown, when she is about to give birth, the duo offers an introspective journey that explores how childhood and violence shape certain lives. Particularly patriarchal violence, in this case.

The text explores the urgency of speaking out, the need to break the code of silence surrounding cultural heritage and the status of women—while celebrating the resilience and strength of those who speak out and heal themselves.
