For three years, the Our Legacies project, led by journalist Sarra El Massaoudi, has been documenting many cultural heritages through a podcast, events, and guided tours.

Until now, each episode of the Our Legacies podcast has given voice to two people of colour to share their family’s migration story and the impact of these experiences on the construction of their identity and their lives. These intimate stories reveal much more collective issues.

Today, the project is transforming into Our Cultural Legacies and attempting to answer the question: what next? How can we politicize these stories, move beyond the issue of representation, and deconstruct our institutions? How can we archive these stories, and who can make them accessible to them?

Join us, attend and participate in the debut of this new audio documentary series! Sarra El Massaoudi will welcome two multitalented figures: Raïssa Alingabo-Yowali M’bilo (author, playwright, and performer), and Emmanuelle Nsunda (carrier of the Afrofeminism in Progress project, author, and all-around researcher in the art world).

The conversation promises to be fascinating and will be open to your questions.
