Leaving a country, a home, a job, a situation...
Sometimes it is necessary to leave to rebuild oneself, renew one's life, to heal, or regain one's agency.
Produced by the theatre company Espèces through its action theatre workshops, Ligne(s) de Fuite/Vanishing Line(s) gently explores both significant and subtle moments of departure, encompassing real and imagined journeys, whether they are undertaken out of necessity or for individual liberation.
On stage, six actresses share the collective story of their real or imagined escapes. Their long journey is marked by risk-taking, unexpected changes of direction, side roads, and numerous encounters.
Each actress reenacts the people who welcomed them, nourished them, and strengthened them—from near or far—and the places of refuge they encountered along the way.
Together, they present escapes that are acts of care, community, and resistance—escapes that do a great deal of good, also for the audience.
